first week of 2nd semester

hi all! Just to recap what i have done for the past holiday ... which was nothing much actually.
last weekend, yam, priscilla (another singaporean girl) and me, went to melbourne. It was their first and definitely not last trip there. Photos are yet to be given to me since poor yam is in the midst of moving house again! I just hope her new home with my friend Kathy would be a comfortable one.
So, back to semester. The weather was not much of a bliss these few days, as winter really sets in. I dont want to imagine walking to school in the morning. Its so cold my eyes teared. haha!
Alhamdulillah, my results were'nt a horrendous surprise. no more feeling worried..:)
My new semester's units.... are by far so much interesting than last sem's. i took construction finance for my elective and after that first lecture, eh! not too bad u know, im quite suprised that the finance lecturer was a good old funny man. Are all those from the finance industry funny? i was expecting someone really straight, and only talks about facts and figures.
oooh k, im just thinking about the new unit im taking which is THE CITY (something like history of architecture only focusing on cities) . Lehmann (Prof) asked each and everyone which city is their favourite. I PROUDLY say its SINGAPORE , because its home obviously. But i still do have an ultimate love for Melbourne, because it feels 2nd to home, cause it feels so much like singapore, only cooler. multiracial, metropolitan, clean, hectic. I miss home lah people...

and guess what? i have 2 free days of school in a week this semester! the same as last sem actually haha.

anyway, i present.... Italian Sweets for your viewing pleasure. My friend bought it from sydney street in melbourne. Nicely packed in a golden box. Looks too elegant to be eaten. But dont be too happy, i was expecting it to taste like famous amos the least. it has a crumbly texture something like shortbread, sandwiched with either strawberry or pineapple jam. Some coated with white or dark chocolate. looks really pleasing . tapi remind me of erm....kuih raya low quality , cetak je lawa macam2 colour tapi rasa suma sama. Aussies' may call it Biski (short for Biscuit) But i suppose its really a treat for them. So... that's a review of ITALIAN SWEETS for you.
