film appreciation dayz

film appreciation

i enjoy every lesson of film app. maybe its because, the lecturer (Sanjay) was interesting, wise... he taught us to see things in a different way...
movies ive watched so far.. Rear Window, Psycho and .. for our group presentatn..
Amelie....
not ur normal cheesy,cliched movies..
best giler nyer.... similarities from all these....all has main characters of, psycho, stalker, loner, perverts,weirdos...
Rear window.... it was based on a guy journalist who was on castes and wheelchair and cant move about for sometime. so he has nothing else to do but to sit near his apartment window and become a peeping Tom. basically, being a Kpo.( mcm aku)... from his limited view , he observed what goes on in his neighbours lives. and as he follows their daily routine, he speculates that one of the neighbours killed his wife... so he goes on investigating the "murder" with the help of his gf n nurse. k, cut short, there was really a murder going on.
im not asking u to peep ur neighbours or be a kpo lah..
what i can relate is, to architecture, this is the kind of example of "invisible interaction" between ppl. sight without touch or verbal communication can be very powerful. SPECULATION... tts wat we always do,
u dont know, but yet u assume...
other things tt i am more aware of now form watching movies., observe the unobserved.. is tt there is always moral behind it... like family bonding, relationship, how ppl really are in life. learnt tt
U cant change a person even how much u try to change him or her. from tt movie, realtionship btwn the journalist and his gf, a high class kinda girl, high fashioned, career minded. while the guy was the type who wants to travel... , just not ready to settle down yet. two really different ppl, different status.. but at last they got married...
but, the gerl was still really into fashion after they got married even though she tried to tone down a little.
tolerance is the way to happiness...
sometimes, u just have to give and take a little...
